Ex-FBI Agent Claims Patel Linked Jobs to Trump Probes Purge
Former FBI special agent Brian Driscoll alleges that his termination was part of a White House-directed effort to purge FBI employees involved in investigations concerning Donald Trump and the January 6th Capitol riot. Driscoll claims that incoming FBI Director Kash Patel implied that job security was tied to removing agents who worked on cases against Trump. He recounted being asked to compile extensive lists of employees involved in these investigations, which he stated was prompted by directives from White House officials. Driscoll has since filed a lawsuit for wrongful termination, though the Department of Justice has moved to dismiss the case.
