
Microsoft Boosts Australia AI Hub with $18B Investment
Microsoft announced a significant A$25 billion ($18 billion) investment in Australia's digital infrastructure, aiming to establish the nation as a major global hub for AI innovation. The commitment includes expanding Azure cloud adoption by over 140% by 2029 and training three million Australians in AI by 2028. The deal reinforces partnerships with Australian government agencies to secure critical infrastructure. This move aligns with Australia's National AI Plan and follows substantial interest from other tech giants like Amazon and OpenAI.
