Amazon has agreed to invest up to $25 billion in Anthropic, building upon previous investments, as part of an expanded AI infrastructure deal. Anthropic, in turn, has committed to spending over $100 billion on AWS technologies over the next ten years, heavily relying on Amazon's custom Trainium chips. Furthermore, Anthropic plans to bring nearly 1 gigawatt of Trainium2 and Trainium3 capacity online by the end of the current year.
