Egypt Celebrates Successful General Secondary Exams with High Pass Rates

The General Secondary Certificate Exams, a pivotal event in the Egyptian educational calendar, have successfully concluded with an 83.77% pass rate, as announced by the Governor of Gharbia, Dr. Tarik Ramy. The exams, which began on June 10, 2024, saw the participation of 745,086 students across 1981 committees nationwide. Special attention was given to inclusivity, with 97% of students with special needs and 91.6% of visually impaired students passing the exams. In preparation for the exams, the Ministry of Education took extensive measures to ensure a secure and conducive environment for all examinees. This included the installation of monitoring cameras to prevent cheating and the provision of necessary facilities such as air conditioning, ventilation, and medical support. The exams covered a broad spectrum of subjects, including national education, religious education, economics, statistics, and various languages and sciences. The Ministry also issued important instructions to students for accurately recording personal data and emphasized the significance of signing examination papers to uphold the integrity of the process. With the exams now over, the Ministry’s focus shifts to maintaining the security and integrity of the examination process, ensuring that the results reflect the students’ true capabilities.
