Modi Poised for Third Term as India’s PM with Coalition Government

India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been unanimously re-elected as the leader of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), setting the stage for his third term in office. Despite the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) not securing an outright majority, the coalition has received the support needed to form the government. Modi’s leadership was endorsed by key political figures, including TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who expressed confidence in Modi’s vision for India’s development and praised the Prime Minister’s commitment to inclusivity and coalition governance while acknowledging the need for consensus among alliance partners. The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for June 9 at 7:15 pm at Rashtrapati Bhavan with Modi assuring a strong, stable, and growth-oriented government focused on fulfilling the country’s dreams and celebrating 100 years of independence in 2047 while also highlighting India’s emergence as a ‘Vishwabandhu’ and its growth as the world’s fastest-growing economy with minimal interference in the lives of citizens and continuing the work towards the country’s progress and development with Modi reaching out to the opposition and emphasizing that all MPs are equal and stating that the NDA government will continue to work towards the country’s progress and development. Modi’s gesture signaled his confidence in UP leadership and abilities while attributing the BJP’s success to the party’s ‘Odia asmita’ (identity) campaign and the Narendra Modi wave with the BJP winning 78 out of 147 assembly seats and 20 out of 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha and the BJD starting a postmortem to find out the reasons behind its electoral setback.
