President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has unveiled a series of measures aimed at reinforcing Turkey’s justice system, supporting families, and bolstering the economy. Erdoğan announced the creation of 5 new justice centers and an increase in the number of judges and prosecutors to enhance the country’s legal infrastructure. Moreover, retirees are set to receive their Ramadan and Eid al-Adha bonuses between June 10-14, a clear nod to the administration’s support for the elderly population. The government has also pledged to increase the minimum wage by 49% from January 1st, 2024, a significant step towards addressing income inequality and improving living standards for low-income workers.
